- The HU harriers competed in the Manchester College Invitational with the
women running to a second place finish and the men a fourth place finish.
In the women's race, Molly Andrews ran her
best race of the season finishing fifth overall in 19:55. Emily
Sealscott was ninth in 20:01. Jill Roughia crossed in 21st place with a
time of 20:23 and Leah Birkey was just nine seconds behind her in 26th place.
Shelly Chaffin was HU's final scorer with a 33rd place finish in 20:58.
Kalamazoo won the event with 77 points. The Foresters (94) were second
followed by Cornerstone (105), Manchester (109), St. Mary's (111), Franklin
(130), Goshen (132), Marian (157), St. Francis (255) and Tri-State (270).
The Forester men were paced
by Cody Hannie's eighth place finish in 26:33. Nick Johnson was 17th
with a time of 26:51. David St. Louis finished 24th in 27:16 with Dan Lindbloom and
Alex Milentis running 28th and 29th with identical times of 27:23.
Marian took the men's title with a score of 67. Wabash was second with
89 points followed by Cornerstone (100), HU (105), Kalamazoo (118),
Manchester (148), Tri-State (150), Franklin (185), St. Francis (203), and
Goshen (220).
