The men's cross
country team had five runners compete at the Manchester College Invitational
and they finished sixth of eight teams.
Nick Johnson broke the 26
minute mark for the first time in his career as he finished third with a time
of 25:44. Dan Lindbloom also set a new personal best with a ninth place
finish in 26:13. Cody Hannie and Michael Lehman came in back-to-back in
34th and 35th place with times of 27:28 and 27:31 and Dan Schaber was 49th in
30:00.
Cornerstone won the meet
with a score of 49 followed by Tri-State (56), Wabash (60), Manchester (113),
Earlham (125), HU (130), Goshen (153) and Defiance (245).
In
women’s action, only three HU runners competed. Emily Holliday finished
eighth with a time of 19:50; Jill Roughia was 16th overall with a time of
20:19 and Laura Bowman was 26th in 21:14.
Cornerstone also won the women's event with a team score of 41 followed by
Manchester (67), St. Mary's (72), Goshen (75), Earlham (128), St. Francis
(159) and Defiance (191). Huntington and Tri-State did not field
complete teams.
