11.18.06 - Huntington University sophomore harrier, Nick Johnson, competed in the NAIA Cross Country National Championships held in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 18.

Johnson, an Exercise Science major from Huntington, Indiana (Huntington North High School) finished 98th of 255 runners with a time of 26:28.25.  Johnson earned an individual berth in the Championship as a result of his 11th place finish in the regional event with a time of 25:41.

Virginia Intermont College won the men's team title with a score of 67 and Concordia University (CA) were runners-up with a team score of 136. See Men's Results to see a complete list of the men's final results.

The NAIA also announced is post-season honors for cross country and two Foresters, senior Molly Andrews and junior Ashley Buck, both earned NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.  Andrews is a Math Education major from Greenwood, Indiana (Greenwood Community High School and Buck is an Elementary Education major from Fort Wayne, Indiana (Homestead High School).  For a complete list of Scholar-Athletes, see 2006 Scholar-Athletes.
