The Forester men and women's cross country teams competed at the Indiana
Open held at Indiana University. HU ran against four NCAA Division I
teams including Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, Minnesota and Butler in the
non-scored event.
Freshman Joseph Njeri paced the Forester men
in the 8K event with a 13th place finish in 26:57. Nick Johnson was
19th in 27:27. Dan Lindbloom came in 27th in 28:07, followed by Cody
Hannie (32nd, 28:33), Luke Diehl (34th, 28:57), Josh Barnett (38th, 31:04),
Dan Schaber (40th, 32:10), and John Kagwanja (43rd, 33:26).
In the women's 5K race, the Foresters' top
runner was Molly Andrews in 45th place with a time of 21:05. Vanessa
Macias was 47th in 21:20 and Emily Holliday was 51st in 21:51. Ashley
Buck crossed in 22:05 for 52nd place with Jill Roughia 55th in 22:18 and
Laura Bowman 59th in 23:18.
