11.20.07 - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the cross country Daktronics All-America Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2007-08 season with two Foresters among the list of honorees.

Senior Ashley Buck (Fort Wayne, IN, Homestead HS) and junior Nick Johnson (Huntington, IN, Huntington North HS) received NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.  Recipients of the award must have at least a junior academic standing and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5.

At the NAIA National Cross Country Championship, Nick Johnson also was recognized as a Champion of Character.  The award is presented to athletes who exemplify the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship in their athletic endeavors.
