09.01.07 - The Forester men and women's cross country teams both finished first in a Hokum Karem event at Goshen College.

HU won the women's race with a score of 12, followed by Goshen (13) and Benedictine (20).  Running in two-person teams over a six-mile course, Ashley Buck and Jill Roughia paced the Foresters with a second place finish in 38:55. Bradie Vance and Michelle Kyler were fourth in 40:09 and Joanna Stebing and Ali Shideler finished sixth in 43:10.

On the men's side, the Foresters and Goshen College both finished with 11 points to tie for first.  Benedictine only had two pairs enter the competition, so they didn’t score in the event.  HU’s Joseph Njeri and Dan Lindbloom finished the 10-mile course first with a time of 51:44.  Michael Lehman and Luke Diehl were third in 53:03.  Nick Hindes and Josh Barnett finished ninth in 57:51 and Luke Andrews and David Boyer were tenth in 58:06.
