09.12.09 - The HU cross country teams finished strong over the weekend with the men bringing home a first place finish and the women finishing second.  In a field of 55 runners, the Forester men had five runners place in the top eight with Joseph Njeri pacing the Foresters with a 28:08 second place finish followed closely by third place finisher Lance Wood (28:31).  Ethan Medley finished fourth with a time of 28:56.  Nathan Rupp and Alec Rosario rounded out the top eight with times of 29:06 and 29:11 respectively.  Matt Bittner and Isaiah Laatsch finished the HU scoring with a 14th and 17th place finish.

For the women, Lauren Johnson took top honors winning the race in 18:39.  Molly Shirey finished seventh with a time of 21:26 followed by tenth place finisher Bradie Vance (21:36) and eleventh place finisher Abbey Wise (21:50).  Krystal McHenry wasn't far behind with a thirteenth place finish (22:03).  Rounding out the scoring was Emilee Green who finished 23rd with a time of 23:11.
