09.19.09 - HU ran in Indiana Intercollegiate Little State this weekend at Indiana State University with the men bringing home an eighth place finish while the women finished 11th.  For the women, Lauren Johnson was one of only three runners to finish under 19 minutes, recording an official time of 18:34 to finish second overall.  She was followed by teammates Bradie Vance who finished 46th with a time of 21:20 and Molly Shirey who crossed the line in 22:04 to finish 65th.  Krystal McHenry (72nd) and Abbey Wise (77th) were close behind finishing in 22:30 and 23:05 respectively.   Emilee Green finished 83rd with a time of 25:10 while Joanna Stebing finished 88th with a time of 27:17.

Freshman Lance Wood paced the #14 ranked HU men running a 27:25 to land him a 17th place finish.  He was followed by Joseph Njeri who finished 25th with a time of 27:42.  Nathan Rupp was 32nd in 27:56, Ethan Medley was 37th in 28:09 and Alec Rosario was 57th in 29:00.  Matt Bittner finished in 30:19 to place 81st while Isaiah Laatsch finished in 30:55 to place 85th.    

DePauw University was the top small school women’s team with a score of 38 while Manchester College finished as the top small school team for the men with a score of 49.

The Foresters resume action in two weeks when they host the E. DeWitt Baker Invitational on Saturday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m.
