- Andrew Porterfield shot a one under par 71 to lead the Foresters to
a second place finish at the Tri-State University Invitational.
Porterfield started out two over par his first three holes and played
the last 15 three under. "Andrew is having a great senior year,"
said Coach Schownir. The host Thunder won the event with a team
score of 302 followed by HU (313), Olivet (314), Siena Heights (319),
Tri-State B Team (324) and Albion (335).
Spencer Batt joined Porterfield on the
All-Tournament team by shooting a 77. Other Forester results
included Ryan Bonner with an 82, Daniel Schroeder with an 83 and
Patrick Davis with an 89.
"Andrew and Spencer played well today
and carried us," said Coach Schownir. "We have two more
tournaments before regional at the end of the month, so it's time to
get everyone playing well." |
