09.19.06 - Playing in cold, rainy conditions, the Foresters battled the elements and some tough MCC competition to tie for fourth place with a 316 in a tune-up match for the Conference Tournament next month.

Bethel College won the match with a 309 followed by Spring Arbor (312), Indiana Wesleyan (315), HU and Marian (316), St. Francis (348), Grace (354) and Goshen (378).

Sophomores Spencer Batt, Justin Imel and Ryan Bonner all shot in the 70s to lead the Foresters.  Batt shot a 75, Imel finished with a 76 and Bonner posted a 77.  The final HU scorer was Dan Schroeder with an 88.

"I am very pleased with the effort put forth by our top three players," said Coach Green.  "It was pretty tough playing conditions out there.  Once we get some consistency from our 4-6 players, we're going to be a tough team to beat."

The men's record now stands at 9-27-3 on the season.
