09.09.06 - Sophomore Ryan Bonner led the golf team to a fourth place tie at the two-day Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invitational.  Bonner shot an opening round 78 and followed that up with a 71 on Saturday for a two-day total of 149, four strokes behind medalist Stephen Ford of Marian.  "Ryan is really maturing into a fine college golfer," said Coach Green.  "He played great today."

The host Wildcats won the event with a team score of 604 followed by Marian (605), Cornerstone (613), HU, Spring Arbor and Lindenwood's B team (623), Lindenwood's A team (625), Taylor (639) and St. Francis (672).

Behind Bonner for HU was Justin Imel with a 155 (79, 76), Spencer Batt with a 156 (79, 77) and Patrick Davis (84, 81) and Jeff McVicker (82, 83) with a 165.

"Overall I am pleased with our improving scores," said Coach Green.  "Our second day score of 305 was right there with the best teams in the conference."  The men's record now stands at 6-24-2 on the season.
