04.29.08 - Justin Imel posted a 221 (70, 76, 74) to tie for first in the NAIA Region VIII Championship at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Indiana. The Foresters finished fourth of 14 teams in the event with a 935.

Since Imel and Bethel's Gavin Wilkinson both shot a 221, the two headed to a playoff to see who would be crowned as medalist of the Region.  Wilkinson won the second hole in the sudden death playoff to earn the individual berth in the NAIA National Tournament.  Imel performance earned him All-Region honors.

Davenport won the team competition with a score of 911 followed by Marian (928), Spring Arbor (932), HU (932), Bethel (958), Cornerstone and Indiana Wesleyan (967) and Indiana Tech (974).  Aquinas, Concordia, Holy Cross, Madonna, St. Francis and Siena Heights all missed the final cut.

Rounding out the rest of the Forester squad was Cory Powell with a 232 (77, 81, 74), Spencer Batt with a 235 (78, 75, 82), Justin McMillen with a 252 (86, 83, 83) and Ryan Bonner with a 255 (81, 88, 86).

The Foresters conclude their season with a record of 62-18-1.
