09.18.07 - Dan Schroeder helped lead the Foresters to their third consecutive win and earned medalist honors by shooting a 146 (74, 72) in the two-day University of St. Francis Invitational.

HU shot a 597 to take top honors in the tournament.  Bethel was second at 600 followed by Marian (610), Spring Arbor (6130, St. Francis (630), Grace (638), Urbana (644) and Taylor (654).

At the end of round one which was played at Cobblestone Golf Club, HU was in second place with a 301, six strokes behind Bethel College. Led by Schroeder's even par 72 on day two at Noble Hawk Golf Links, the Foresters shot a 296, nine strokes better than the Pilots to win the Invitational.

Following Schroeder was Patrick Davis who tied for sixth overall with back-to-back rounds of 76 for a 152, Justin Imel (80-75--155), Justin McMillen (78-79--157), Ryan Bonner (85-73--158) and Spencer Batt (73-85--158).

"Everyone contributed in our scoring, so it was a total team victory", said Coach Green.  "Dan and Patrick played excellent golf. There's no way we win this match without their consistent effort on both days."
