09.29.07 - After a sub-par first round, the Foresters couldn't get themselves out of the hole they dug and finished third of four teams in their own invitational held at Brookwood Golf Club.

HU shot a 303 for their first round on Friday, eight strokes behind Cedarville and six behind St. Francis' first team.  The Foresters responded with the best score (299) on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to overcome the top two teams.  St. Francis' first team won with a score of 597 followed by Cedarville (600), HU (602) and St. Francis' second team (658).

Cory Powell (78, 70) and Ryan Bonner (76, 72) led the Foresters with a 148 for the tournament. Spencer Batt (75, 77) shot a 152, Dan Schroeder (74, 80) turned in a 154 and Luke Smith (84, 82) shot a 166.

"Our whole team is pretty disappointed with our performance in this tournament," said Coach Green.  "We took ourselves out of it after the first day."
