04.18.09 - The Forester golf team won its second invitational in as many tries with a first place finish at the Bill Gettig Invite held at Zollner Golf Course at Trine University.  HU shot a 292 on the first day and had a 302 on day two for a 594.

Madonna and Spring Arbor tied for second with a 597 followed by Trine BOA (598), St. Francis (607), Hope (611), Trine ATB (612), Trine BOR (613), Taylor (630) Holy Cross (631) and Adrian (634).

Spencer Batt paced the Foresters with back-to-back rounds of 73 for a 146.  Ryan Bonner posted the low round for the invite with a 68 on day one.  He shot a 79 in the second round to finish with a 147.  Justin Imel had a 149 (75, 74).  Cory Powell shot a 154 (76, 78) and Jordan Dawes turned in a 156 (79, 77).

"It was nice to win another tournament, but I know we are not pleased with how we played the second day," said Coach Mark Green.  "It was nice to see Ryan play so well the first day."
