08.30.08 - The Foresters opened their fall season with a fifth place finish in a field of 16 teams at the Olivet College Lou Collins Invitational played at Bedford Valley GC in Battle Creek, Michigan.

HU was in second place by just two strokes after completing the first round of play, but couldn't duplicate the results in the final round. Olivet won the tournament with a team score of 588, with Bethel second at 601.  Warner Southern was third at 603, Albion was fourth at 606 and HU finished at 608.

The Foresters top three finishers were within two strokes of each other. Justin Imel paced the Foresters with a two-round total of 150 (73, 77). Jordan Dawes posted a 151 (74, 77) and Ryan Bonner shot a 152 (72, 80).  Dan Schroeder had a 156 (79, 77) and Spencer Batt finished with 158 (78, 80).

"We had a pretty decent first day of scoring, but for some reason could not repeat the same performance on the second day," said Coach Green.  "Jordan Dawes did a great job for competing in his first college golf match."
