11.27.04 - The Foresters handed the University of Rio Grande their first loss of the season with an 82-63 rout of the Redmen.  The Foresters started the game with an 8-0 run and owned a 29-14 lead with 7:17 left in the half.  Over the next three minutes, the Redmen put together a 16-3 run of their own to draw within two at 32-30 with 4:08 to play, but HC closed out the half with a 7-3 spurt to take a 39-33 lead at the break.  The Redmen began the second half scoring seven unanswered points to take a brief 41-39 lead, but following a timeout, the Foresters took back control of the game with a 19-6 run and built a 24-point advantage before Coach Platt cleared the bench with just under three minutes to play.  HC’s Kyle Ganton led all scorers in the game with 28 points, which included 5-7 3-pointers.  Alex Kock added 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.  Doug Sheckler, in his first game back after being sidelined with an injury, added 13 and Adam Bontreger chipped in 10 points and three assists for the Foresters.  Dawayne McIntosh and Matt Simpson each scored 12 to lead the Redmen.  With the win, the men improve to 7-4 on the season.
