Huntington College announced that
Plymouth High School standout, Kyle Benge, has signed a letter of
intent to play basketball for the Forester program next year. Benge,
a 6’1 guard, was the second-leading scorer in the state this season
with his 26.8 average. He finished his career for the Pilgrims with
a school-record 1979 points, surpassing the former record holder,
Scott Skiles, who had amassed 1787 points during his career in the
early eighties. Benge’s stellar career was capped off with his
receipt of numerous post-season awards. Some of the more noteworthy
include Third-Team All-State, Indiana Top 40, and North/South
Indiana All-Star.
Huntington College basketball coach, Steve Platt, is looking forward
to the Benge’s contributions on the court. “Kyle has what it takes
to make a fine combo guard,” stated Platt. “He is a very talented
offensive player with a passion to win. Because of his driven,
refuse to lose intensity, we expect Kyle to help us from the
get-go. He is the kind of student-athlete we are proud to have here
at Huntington College.” |
