11.16.05 - In a game that looked more like a track meet, the NAIA 7th-ranked Huntington University Foresters (4-1) sprinted past the Warriors of Indiana Tech (2-3) 110-66.  The Foresters raced out of the gate, connecting on nine of their first 14 shots to take a 21-2 lead six minutes into the game.  Huntington’s defense held the Warriors to 30% shooting for the half and forced them into 10 turnovers.  The Foresters blistered the nets at a 64% clip to take a 65-24 lead at the break.

With the starting five back on the floor, Huntington opened the second period with a 26-12 run to push the lead to 55 at 91-36 with 14:27 to play.  The Foresters then put it on cruise control to finish with the 110-66 win.  Huntington’s Alex Kock made the most of his limited minutes in the game with 30 points on 12-13 shooting, including 5-5 from behind the arc and 1-1 from the line in 26 minutes of play.  Kyle Ganton added 23 points and eight rebounds, Doug Sheckler had 19 points and Ty Riddle finished with 13.  Maurice Benson took top honors for the Warriors with 11 points.
