The first nine

remainder of the game. The Foresters increased the lead to as
many as seven on two occasions later in the half, but were only up two
at 31-29 at the break.
The Mastodons
continued to hang around early in the second half and tied it at 43-43
on a steal and layup by Kyle Savely midway through the period.
HU answered with an 8-0 run, but IPFW countered with a 7-0 run to pull
back within one at 51-50 with 7:30 minutes to play. Two Kock
jumpers and a four-point play by Kyle Ganton gave the Foresters some
breathing room with a 59-50 lead. Jared Yoder hit four
consecutive free throws with just over a minute to play to give HU its
biggest lead of the game at 68-56. With the Mastodons forced to
foul down the stretch, the Foresters went 3-5 from the line in the
final minute to earn the win.
IPFW had no answer
for Kock who had a game-high 28 points and nine rebounds. Steve
Snider added 15 points and six rebounds and Ganton finished with 11
