12.20.05 - After owning as much as a 16-point lead in the second half, the NAIA 5th-ranked Foresters had to survive a late Cedarville charge to earn the 79-75 win over the 8th-ranked Yellow Jackets.  Six minutes into the game, HU’s Steve Snider hit a jumper to even the score at 15-15, which ignited a 9-0 Forester run, giving them a lead they would never concede.  HU continued to add to its lead and headed to the locker room with a 46-34 advantage.

Early in the second half, the Foresters stretched their lead to 16 points and they were still up 66-54 midway through the period when Cedarville began to steadily chip away at the deficit.  The Yellow Jackets got back within two at 77-75 with 45 seconds to play, but HU’s Alex Kock knocked down a pair of clutch free throws to seal the big win on the road.

Kock took game-high honors with his 25 points and added seven rebounds.  Kyle Ganton finished with 18 points and eight boards.  Snider added 15 points and seven rebounds and Kyle Benge had 13 points off the bench.  The Foresters shot 42% for the game while their defense held Cedarville to 39% shooting for the game, including 25% from behind the arc.  With the win, HU improves to 13-3 on the season.
