01.20.07 - Despite suffering through a poor shooting performance, the #5-ranked Foresters were able to find enough offense to notch win number 20 on the season with a 63-52 victory over Marian College.

In the first half, HU (20-3, 8-1) connected on just 9 of 24 shot attempts for 38%, but was able to manage a 26-19 half-time lead by holding the Knights (7-10, 2-7) to just six field goals on 24% shooting.

As the second half began, First Team All-American Alex Kock took over the game for the Foresters.  Kock scored HU's first 12 points in the period to help give the Foresters a 10-point cushion with 14:48 to play.  After alternating buckets, HU opened its biggest lead of the day at 46-33, with 8:24 on the clock.

Marian was able to cut the lead to six at 52-46 with 3:05 on the clock. The Knights continued to battle, but could get no closer than seven with 39 seconds remaining.  The Foresters then sealed the win at the line.

Kock took game-high honors in the game with 27 points and nine rebounds.  Kyle Ganton and Doug Sheckler added 11 and 10 points respectively for HU.  Marian's Jared Reeves topped three Knights in double figures with 16.  Jeff Manley chipped in 12 and Brandon Buscher finished with 10.
