12.30.06 - The NAIA Division II top-ranked Huntington University Foresters (16-2) had no trouble handling Siena Heights University (3-10) as they downed the Saints 100-67.

Huntington turned a 20-19 lead at the 13:16 mark of the first half into a 38-23 advantage with an 18-4 run over a five minute span to take command of the game.  Another 14-4 spurt over the final six minutes of the half gave the Foresters a 56-32 lead at the break and they never looked back.

Huntington pushed its lead to 31 over the first seven minutes of the second half, but the offense stalled for a few minutes when numerous offensive foul calls kept both teams from getting into any kind of offensive rhythm.  The two teams traded baskets over the final 10 minutes of the game leading to the 33-point victory for the Foresters.

Huntington’s Alex Kock led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds, his fourteenth double-double of the season.  Kyle Ganton and Doug Sheckler joined Kock in double figures with 20 and 18 points respectively.   Victor Hamilton hit for 20 to lead the Saints.  The Foresters won the battle of the boards 30-19 and committed just 13 turnovers to 10 for Siena Heights.
