- Just four days
after teammate Alex Kock
scored the 2000th-point of his career, Huntington
University senior forward Kyle Ganton reached the same milestone in
the Foresters’ 76-71 win over Indiana Wesleyan University on February
10. Ganton is the sixth Forester to join the elite club. Entering
the game against Indiana Wesleyan, Ganton needed five points to reach
the milestone. He wasted little time as he reached the mark less than
six minutes into the contest on a three-pointer from the wing. He
finished the game with 11 points, giving him 2006 career points.
The sharp-shooting
Second Team NAIA All-American, who was third in 3-point field goal
percentage (.497) in NAIA Division II last year, currently ranks fifth
in the nation in free throw percentage (.893) and eighth in 3-point
field goal percentage (.469). His 18.5 points per game, which is
fourth highest in the Mid-Central Conference, has helped lead the
Foresters to a 24-4 record and a current 8th-place ranking
in the latest NAIA Division II polls. |
