- The Foresters picked up their first win of the season with an 83-62 victory
over Central Bible College at the Evangel University Classic.
HU (1-2) stretched a
39-34 half-time lead by out-scoring the Spartans 44-28 in the second
to ran away with the win.
Doug Sheckler took
game-high honors with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and a 7-7 effort
at the line for the Foresters. Kevin Kyle chipped in 19 points
and a game-high seven boards. Kellen Zawadzki had 12 points off
the bench and Luke Smith finished with 11 points and five assists.
Joel Hall led the
Spartans with 16 point. Blake Hanson added 15 and John Wall had
14.
HU finished the
game shooting 50.9% (28-55) from the field and the Foresters went
23-for 25 at the stripe.
