11.13.07 - The Foresters evened their record at 2-2 on the season with a big 77-75 upset over NAIA #4-ranked Cedarville University (0-1).

The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 13-5 lead and looked ready to put the game away early.  But HU got a spark off the bench from Andrew Mock who scored five consecutive points for the Foresters to bring HU within 15-12 at the midway point of the half.  The Foresters kept the momentum and took their first lead of the game at 23-22 on two charity tosses from Kevin Kyle at the 5:56 mark.  The score remained close the rest of the half and ended in a 30-30 tie.

The Yellow Jackets regrouped at the break and outscored HU 9-2 to begin the second half.  Again the Foresters fought back and evened the score at 39 with 14:02 to play.  The two teams continued to trade baskets until HU took the lead for good at 56-55 on a Doug Sheckler jumper with just under eight minutes to go.  A trey from Tyler Shively gave the Foresters a 67-62 lead with 2:08 left on the clock and Sheckler went 6-6 at the line down the stretch to pull off the upset.

Sheckler took team-high honors with 22 points for the Foresters.  Kevin Kyle chipped in a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards and Mock finished with 12 points and five assists. Cedarville's Ryan Short took game-high honors with 30 points and Chris Beals added 17.  Ricardo Alliman grabbed 12 rebounds in the contest.

HU finished the game shooting 43.5% (30-69) from the field while Cedarville was 29-69 for 42%.  The Yellow Jackets out-rebounded the Foresters 48-37.
