11.27.07 - With 10 ties and 12 lead changes in the final 12 minutes of the game, it was Olivet Nazarene University' Josh Bronke hitting two free throws with five seconds remaining to defeat the Foresters 68-67 in the seesaw affair.

ONU's Ryan Paxson knocked down a three-pointer to give the Tigers a 66-63 lead with just under a minute to play.  HU's Doug Sheckler hit a jumper with 31 seconds left to make it 66-65.  The Foresters then immediately got the ball back when ONU's Phil French stepped over the endline trying to inbound the ball.  Sheckler rebounded a Kellen Zawadzki miss and hit another jumper to put HU on top 67-66 with 11 seconds to go.  ONU inbounded the ball to Bronke who pushed the ball up the court and was fouled on his way to the hole.  He nailed both charity tosses to give the Tigers the lead and HU failed to get a shot off in the final five seconds.

Although ONU scored the first four points of the game, the Foresters led most of the first half by as much as eight points at 23-15 with 6:24 to play.  The Tigers used a 10-1 run over the next five minutes to take a 25-24 lead at the 1:36 mark and the two teams finished the half knotted at 27.

ONU held the advantage for the first eight minutes of the second period with as much as a six-point lead of 35-29 with 15:43 to play.  HU tied the score at 36 and then the seesaw battle began.

The Foresters' Kyle Benge topped all scorers in the game with 18 points.  Sheckler added 15 and Kevin Kyle finished with 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds.  ONU was led by Phil French's double-double of 15 points and 10 boards.

The Foresters (6-3) struggled from the field all night finishing the game at 35.2% (19-54) including a dismal 17.6% (3-17) from behind the arc while the Tigers were 25-59 from the field for 42.4%. ONU won the battle of the boards 46-35.
