02.13.08 - Forester freshman Tyler Shively scored a career-high 24 points to lead HU to an 80-70 win over Spring Arbor University.  Shively went 7-11 from the field, including 4-6 from behind the arc and 6-6 from the stripe.

The Foresters used a late 5-0 spurt in the first half to build a 39-30 lead at the break.  HU shot 50% from the floor in the half and were 5-9 from long range while Spring Arbor shot a chilly 35% from the field and 27% from three-point range.

In the second half, the Foresters turned it up a notch on the offensive end going 13-22 from the field for 59%.  The Cougars were able to get within six with under a minute to go, but could get no closer.

Joining Shively in double digits for HU was Doug Sheckler with 21 points, Kevin Kyle with 12 and Kyle Benge with 10.  Heading into the game, Benge needed just two points to reach 1000 for his career.  His 10 points in the contest give him a total of 1008, placing him 35th on Huntington's all-time scorers' list.

Spring Arbor put three in double figures with Darby Decker leading the way with 17 points.  Rob Boss finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds and DJ Baisden had 12.
