01.20.09 - After opening a 20-point lead by intermission, the Foresters (14-8, 3-5) cruised to the 75-52 victory at Marian College, keeping the Knights winless in the MCC at 0-8.

HU jumped out to a 19-4 lead eight and a half minutes into the contest. The Knights got back within 10 at the nine minute mark on a 3-pointer by J. R. Howell, but it was as close as they would get.  The Foresters then ran off eight more unanswered points to push the lead to 18 at 31-13 and finished the half up 35-15.

HU continued to dominate in the second half increasing its advantage to as many as 33 at 62-29 on a trey by Luke Smith with 8:40 to go in the game.  The Foresters then cruised to the 23-point victory.

Kyle Benge led a quartet of double figures scorers for HU with 16 points. Kevin Kyle had 14 points, Caleb Kennedy added a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds and Alex Nafziger finished with 10.  Anthony Furlin was the lone Knight to reach double digits with 12.

The Foresters held Marian to just 20% shooting in first half and 31% (18-58) for the game, while HU went 26 for 55 for 47.3%.  The Foresters out-rebounded Marian 46-32.
