01.03.09 - For the first time since November 12, the Foresters had to face an opponent on the road as they squared off with the NAIA Division II 10th-ranked Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan. HU (12-5, 1-2) put up a good fight keeping the Wildcats (14-3, 2-1) within striking distance for most of the contest, but eventually came up short falling 80-75 to IWU.

The Wildcats scored the first six points of the game, but HU didn't let them get away early.  The Foresters cut it to three at 11-8 and kept IWU within single digits until Landon Adler hit a jumper to put the Wildcats up 27-17 midway through the period.

IWU was still up 12 at 37-25 with six minutes to go when HU put together a 14-7 run to cut the deficit to five at 44-39 at the 1:37 mark.  Two Zach Coverstone free throws gave the Wildcats a seven-point advantage at the break.

The Foresters kept the momentum early in the second half and pulled within two at 53-51  on a 3-pointer from Tyler Shively with 12:35 on the clock.  HU was still down two at 65-63 with 2:46 to go when IWU got back-to-back treys from Jon Moon and Spencer Harris to extend its lead to six.  The Wildcats then knocked down 8 of 10 charity tosses down the stretch to seal the victory.

Coverstone took game-high honors with 18 points for IWU.  Four Wildcats joined him in double figures with Antonio Murrell scoring 15, Harris and Will Hubertz with 13 and Adler with 12 and a game-high nine rebounds.  Shively topped five Foresters in double figures with 15 points.  Kyle Benge and Kellen Zawadzki both had 12.  Andrew Mock finished with 11 and Luke Smith chipped in 10.
