11.12.08 - The road had not been kind to the Foresters early this season, but they were able to earn a different result this time at Calumet College of St. Joseph with a 92-75 victory over the host Crimson Wave.

A 3-pointer from Jon Contos gave CCSJ a 3-0 lead to start the game, but it was short-lived.  HU evened things up at 5-5 two and a half minutes in and it was all Foresters from there.

Andrew Mock knocked down a trey of his own to put HU in front for good at 8-5.  The Foresters' lead ballooned to as much as 19 at 30-11 with eight minutes to play in the half and they led 43-27 at intermission.

The Crimson Wave pulled within 11 at 45-34 early in the second half, but HU doubled the lead over a four minute span for a 60-38 advantage at the 14:02 mark.  CCSJ again battled back to within 11 with six minutes to play, but could never get back within single digits.

Kellen Zawadzki came off the bench to lead the Foresters with 24 points on 10-13 shooting including 4-6 from behind the arc.  Kevin Kyle had 20 points and a game-high eight boards.  Luke Smith finished with 18 points.  Kyle Benge contributed a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists and Andrew Mock chipped in 11 points.

Wilfredo Escobar topped all scorers in the game with 25 points and he added eight assists. Contos finished with 11 points.
