11.04.08 - Hosting the Indiana Institute of Technology on opening night for both teams, the Foresters remained posed against the scrappy Warrior team to earn the 79-55 victory.

The lead went back and forth through the first 15 minutes of play as both teams worked out their opening game jitters.  At the 5:44 mark, Kellen Zawadzki drained a long three to spark a 16-4 run for the Foresters to close out the half and take a 35-21 lead at the break.

Despite Tech's full court pressure in the second half, a composed Forester team continued to build on their first half lead with their biggest margin coming at 72-41 with 5:49 left in the contest.  For the evening, the Foresters shot 50 percent from the field (31-62) while committing only 10 turnovers. They out rebounded Tech 44-32.

Kellen Zawadzki topped all scorers in the contest with 17 points for the Foresters.  He was joined in double figures by Kevin Kyle with 16, Luke Smith with 13 and Tyler Shively with 11.  Shively and Smith dished out 7 and 6 assists respectively.  Tech was led by Shaun Cabrera with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
