10.30.09 - Tri West High School senior standout, Randall Lowe, has signed a Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career at Huntington University next fall.

As a sophomore he led his team to a sectional championship averaging 20 points per game.  This pas
t season Lowe averaged 17 points per game.

Lowe’s accomplishments on the court have earned him numerous accolades over the last several years.  He currently holds Tri West’s single season scoring record having scored 480 points during his sophomore season.  As a sophomore and junior, he was a Sagamore First Team All-Conference selection and was named to the All Hendricks County, All Metro West, and All Sectional teams.  Lowe also made the list of Top 100 Underclassman as a sophomore.

Huntington University Head Coach Ty Platt is looking forward to Lowe’s contributions. “We are very excited that Randall will be joining our Forester basketball program next season,” said Coach Platt.  “He is a multi-talented guard who can flat out score.  He is a quick, strong, athletic player who has the tools to be a very good college player.  Randall has the potential to come in and contribute right away.”

During the past decade, the Huntington University men’s basketball program has won five Mid-Central Conference (MCC) titles, five MCC tournament titles, and has had seven NAIA National Tournament appearances, including two Final Fours and a National Runner-Up finish in 2006. Over the 10-year span, the program also has produced 12 NAIA All-Americans and eight MCC Players of the Year and has had eight consecutive seasons with 20 or more wins.
