Child swimmers
must be 12 years of age or be
accompanied by an adult at all times. Those children
under the minimum age requirement who can swim may be asked
by the lifeguard to demonstrate their swimming ability before
being allowed to swim freely.

Swimmers are
allowed in the swimming area only when an MPERC lifeguard is
on duty.

Swimmers must take
a shower before entering the pool.

Swimmers must wear
appropriate swimming attire: no "cut-offs,"
cotton shorts, or T-shirts with frayed ends.

Swimmers with open
wounds and or bandages may not enter the water.

Swimmers using
flotation devices must remain in the shallow area of the pool.

Swimmers may use
our fins and kick boards only during lap swims or aerobic
water exercise.

Swimmers should
not engage in horseplay such as running, splashing, shoving,
and dunking anywhere in the swimming area.

Swimmers are not
permitted to dive off the side of the pool in water less than
5 feet deep.

Swimmers are not
permitted to do flips or back dives off the side of the pool.

Only one swimmer
shall be on the ladder at a time.

Swimmers will be
asked to clear the pool during any electrical storm.

Swimmers may not
have food, drink, or chewing gum anywhere in the pool area.

Street shoes may
not be worn on the deck area. Persons wearing street
shoes must remain behind the rail in the observation area.

Rescue equipment
is not to be used for recreational use.

First aid
equipment is to be distributed by aquatic staff only.
