10.5.04 - The Foresters took the NAIA 15th-ranked Bethel College Pilots to double-overtime, but eventually gave up the game-winner with 3:25 left in the second extra period to fall 3-2.  The Pilots controlled the flow of the game and out-shot HC 16-4.  Although the Foresters didn't get many opportunities, Luke Caldwell made the most of his giving HC the 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on a feed from Joel Sanders and putting the team back in front at 2-1 off an assist from Jarrod Bennett two minutes into the second half.  HC's lead was short-lived as Bethel evened it up a minute later.  The score remained 2-2 until the Pilots finally netted their third goal of the game late in double OT.  "Bethel is a composed, technical team," said Coach Lawson.  "This is one of the strongest sides I have seen in a while.  I am very proud of the collective effort we put forth tonight.  It is definitely a game that you come away feeling a little upset because we were so close to pulling off a major upset, but also realize that the positives should serve us well for the remainder of the season."  The loss drops the men to 5-6 on the season and 1-3 in the MCC.
