10.22.05 - Although the Foresters fell 2-0 to Indiana Wesleyan in their final regular season match, they got some help from Marian to grab the final spot in the MCC tournament.  The Marian College Knights knocked off Grace on Saturday giving HU the tiebreak to secure the eighth seed.  The Foresters will play top-seeded Bethel College in Mishawaka on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Against the Wildcats, HU put together a solid effort against one of the MCC's top scoring offenses which is averaging close to three goals per game.  The Foresters kept IWU in check for 40 minutes before a defensive breakdown allowed the Wildcats their first goal.  The second half went much the same.  HU's defense kept them in the game, but the offense couldn't come up with the equalizer.  IWU finally put the game out of reach with a goal with two minutes left to play.

"I was very pleased with our back line and goal keeping play," said Coach Lawson.  "We were disciplined in the back, which enabled us to keep the game close."

The Foresters conclude their regular season schedule with a record of 4-13 overall and 1-7 in conference play.
