09.15.05 - A pair of goals in the first half was all Manchester College needed to hand the Foresters their fifth loss of the season.  The Spartans took control of the middle of the field early and kept HU on the defensive all afternoon.

Brian Huss put Manchester up 1-0 in the 26th minute when he finished a feed from Parker Swanson.  Ten minutes later, Swanson slotted the ball past HU Keeper Jarrod Bennett to give the Spartans a two-goal lead.  HU kept the Spartans in check in the second half, but couldn't put anything together on the offensive end.  For the game, Manchester out-shot the Foresters 11-5 and generated 17 corner kicks to just seven for HU.

"We gave up too much space in the middle third of the field and when you combine that with little pressure on the ball, that makes for a long day at the park," said Coach Lawson.  "Manchester played well, but I know our guys can and will come with better efforts in the future."

The loss drops the men to 1-5 on the year.
