09.24.05 - After playing to a scoreless tie at the end of the first half, Marian College swamped the Foresters with six goals in the second to earn the 6-0 shut out.  The Knights took 24 shots on goal and eight corner kicks in the game as compared to eight and two for HU.  Huntington keeper Jarrod Bennett had a strong game with several acrobatic saves on his way to 18 for the game.

The first goal of the game came four minutes into the second half when the Foresters gave Marian the lead with an own goal.  Marian's Drew Dallas then netted the Knight's second goal just a minute later.  Ian Bennett pounded in the next two Marian goals for the 4-0 lead and then HU had their second own goal of the game to push the Knight's lead to 5-0.  TJ Rouch finished Marian's scoring with a goal in the 81st minute.

"Marian has great team speed and I thought the team did a great job to neutralize them in the first half," said Coach Lawson.  "Once again we came away frustrated because of our inability to play the complete 90 minutes."

The loss drops the Foresters to 1-8 on the year and 0-2 in the MCC.
