| 09.28.05 - A fluke
goal was the difference for St. Francis as they got by the Foresters
1-0. Thirteen minutes into the first half, Cougar Michael Bitler
mis-hit a ball. The wind held it up and it hit the post then
ricocheted into the goal off the back of HU keeper Jarrod Bennett.
Despite the loss, Coach Lawson was pleased
with the team's overall play. "We were relaxed and it showed,"
said Lawson. "We had a solid effort from everyone including our
bench, which provided excellent opportunities in the second half.
"The guys put the early goal behind them and immediately got back to
playing their possession game for the full 90 minutes. This is
definitely a performance we have been looking for."
The Foresters fall to 1-9 on the year and 0-3 in the MCC. |
