09.03.05 - Despite owning a 15-4 advantage on shots on goal and a 15-2 lead in corner kicks, the Foresters were unable to finish enough of those attempts and eventually fell 3-2 in double overtime to Franklin College.  The Grizzlies got on the scoreboard first when Michael Harwood netted a misplayed ball by the Foresters eight minutes into the game.  Twenty minutes later, HU knotted the score when Andrew Wust won a tackle from a Franklin defender and buried his shot in the upper right corner of the net.  The score remained 1-1 at the break.  Twenty minutes into the second half, the Foresters grabbed the 2-1 lead when Joel Sanders beat a defender on the right flank and then fed David Callahan for the score.  HU continued to attack, but all it took was one long ball to Harwood and the Grizzly forward equalized the game at 2-2 with eight minutes left in regulation.  The two teams battled through one scoreless overtime period and went five minutes into a second before Franklin scored the game-winner on a penalty kick by Andy Pickett.  "We generated many opportunities today, but must develop a greater sense of urgency to capitalize on them," lamented Coach Lawson.  "Overall, we saw many positive things to build on despite not earning the result."  With the loss the men drop to 0-2 on the season.
