09.06.05 - It was another evenly matched contest, but again the Foresters eventually succumbed in overtime, this time falling 1-0 to the Bluffton University Beavers.  Both teams had their chances to score in regulation, but failed to capitalize.  Things got even tougher for the Foresters with five minutes remaining in the second half. Bluffton's offense generated a clear breakaway, and in an effort to stop the play, Josh Schreiner brought down the player just outside the box.  He received a red card on the play and was ejected from the game forcing HU to play a man down the rest of the way.  The Beavers stepped up their intensity, but the Foresters survived the surge to force the overtime.  Three minutes into the extra period, HU's defense missed an opportunity to clear the ball which set up Bluffton's Drew Hoening for the score.  "We once again showed great promise with increased composure and possession of play," stated Coach Lawson.  "Once our offense starts clicking, I am confident we will begin to see better results."  The loss drops the men to 0-3 on the season.
