05.02.06 - Huntington University Men’s Soccer Coach Russ Lawson has announced that Palmyra, New York native, Keith Holbein, has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at HU this fall. This past fall, Holbein’s versatility was put to the test.  He played a variety of roles for the Scarlet Knights who dealt with a great deal of adversity, but his natural position is outside midfielder.  He has good size and speed at that position and distributes the ball well.  Off the field, Holbein will focus his attentions on his entrepreneurial business management major.

Coach Lawson knows he’s getting a hard worker.  “I am looking forward to working with Keith because he is the type of athlete that gives you his all,” said Lawson.  “He will bring intensity and a determined work ethic that will serve him well as he looks to make is mark on the program. Judging from the effort he puts forth on the field he should have a successful collegiate experience as a Forester.”

Keith is the son of Mike and Diana from Palmyra, NY.
