05.31.06 - Huntington University soccer coach Russ Lawson announced the addition of James Holliday to the 2006 roster. Coming off an excellent senior campaign at Dayton Christian High School, Holliday will bolster the Forester’s front line. He found the back of the net 12 times for the Warriors last season and also chipped in six assists, earning him a spot on the Metro Buckeye Conference second team and the Dayton South third team.

“James plays the game with great intensity and at a pace that will add to our team speed,” stated Coach Lawson. “He has great offensive instincts and knows how to finish.  Quickness and physical play are a couple of the biggest barriers to overcome at the collegiate level, but with his abilities as a forward, we are looking for James’ transition to be a smooth one.  He will challenge our returning players for minutes up front.”

James is the son of Joe and Tavie Holliday from Fairborn, Ohio.
