04.05.06 - Dayton Christian High School senior Kevin Keske has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Huntington University this fall.  Keske ended his prep career for the Warriors on a high note with a stellar .80 goals against average that included eight shut outs while leading his team to the semifinals of the District Tournament.  He was elected to the 2005 Metro Buckeye Conference 1st Team, the 2005 All-Area 1st Team and finished third on the ballot for the Dayton South Player of the Year Award.  Keske also has Olympic Development Pool (ODP) experience and was the starting keeper for the Southern Ohio Soccer Academy, which was ranked second in Ohio and sixth in the Midwest in 2005.

Huntington University head coach, Russ Lawson thinks Keske has a lot to offer the Forester program.  “Kevin is a courageous keeper who is sound technically with tremendous reflexes,” said Lawson.  “We are getting a leader who reads the game well and has the ability to make the acrobatic save when called upon.”  Keske’s current plans are to study business at HU.

Huntington University is a Christian liberal arts college located in Huntington, IN, with an enrollment of approximately 1000 students.  Athletically, HU competes in fourteen NAIA intercollegiate sports for both men and women in the Mid Central Conference (MCC).

Kevin is the son of Art and Shirley from Centerville, Ohio.
