| 10.04.06 - Spring
Arbor scored a goal in both halves while keeping the Forester offense
in check, shutting out HU 2-0. A
sluggish Forester start allowed Spring Arbor to capitalize on a
defensive breakdown just three minutes into the match. HU got
better organized and picked up the intensity, but couldn't get one
past the Cougar keeper. Spring Arbor sealed the victory with a
second score midway through the second half.
"We didn't pressure well to start the
game and we got burned," said Coach Lawson. "Once that got sorted out,
I did like the improvement in our own ball possession and our ability
to get more chances in the box."
Spring Arbor out-shot the Foresters
11-8 and HU keeper Matt Boyer recorded 10 saves. The loss drops
the Foresters to 4-7-1 on the season and 1-3 in the MCC. |
