09.06.06 - Huntington University junior, Joel Sanders, from Fort Wayne, Indiana (Snider High School), was named the Mid-Central Conference (MCC) Player of the Week for the week ending September 3, 2006.

In the Foresters' only match of the week, Sanders scored two goals to help lead Huntington to a 3-1 win over Franklin College. Through four games to date, the midfielder has tallied two goals and two assists. HU (2-2) next travels to Michigan on Friday, September 8 to take on Rochester College at 4:00 p.m.
