Coach Russ Lawson has announced that Heritage Christian High School
standout Dan Allison has signed a letter of intent to join the
Forester program this fall. Not only has Allison played a pivotal
role in organizing the midfield for the Eagles, he also has been
versatile enough to get in the box and put a fair share of balls in
the back of the net. Throughout his high school career, Allison
tallied 37 goals and 32 assists to help lead the Eagles to
conference and district championships in Michigan. He also served
as team captain his final two seasons and as a senior, he was named
All-Conference, All-District, and Honorable Mention All-State for
Class D in the state of Michigan.
Two areas of concern that Coach Lawson
is hoping to address with his 2007 recruiting class is quickness and
the ability to challenge for balls in the air. Allison looks to be
someone that can bolster both areas. “We are very excited that Dan
will continue his career at Huntington,” says Lawson. “He is a
strong, athletic and tenacious midfielder who has great mobility.
Dan is coming off a tremendous senior season and we’re hoping he can
pick up where he left off when he joins the team this fall.”
Off the field, Allison
will look to make an impact in the classroom as a Business
Management major.
