| 10.16.07 - Goshen
College scored a pair of goals in the first half and put the game out
of reach with a third late in the game to defeat the Foresters 3-0.
The Leafs immediately took control of the
match with their possession and speed of play and they were able to
capitalize on two HU defensive miscues to grab the 2-0 lead at
intermission.
The second half
went scoreless until Goshen solidified the victory with its third
score of the match with under 10 minutes left in regulation.
"We allowed Goshen
to dictate the tempo of the first half and that is disappointing
because most of that has to do with energy and organization and we did
a poor job of that," said Coach Lawson. "You can’t afford to give a
talented team like Goshen the space and options we did and not get
burned."
The loss drops the
Foresters to 8-8 on the year and 0-6 in the MCC. |
