10.06.07 - Playing before a boisterous Homecoming crowd, the Foresters responded with a well-played 1-0 victory over Rochester College to notch their first shutout of the season.

After finishing the first half in a scoreless tie, HU finally broke through with a score just two minutes into the second half.  Dustin Shafer netted the eventual game-winner off a redirection from Jason Metzger from six yards out to give the Foresters the lead. HU outworked them in the box and after numerous opportunities were able to put one past the talented Warrior keeper.

"We generated some golden opportunities today off some timely combination play from our mids and strikers," said Coach Lawson.  "I was pleased to see that for the second straight game we forced their keeper to make terrific saves. Defense was rock solid and very dependable as our back four stayed compact and Kevin kept a tidy box for our first clean sheet."

The win moves the Foresters to 6-6 on the season.
