09.19.07 - In an evenly matched contest, it was Spring Arbor University that made the Foresters pay for a mistake in the box to hand HU a 1-0 loss in conference play.

Both teams traded scoring opportunities throughout the game forcing both keepers to come up with a couple spectacular saves. In the 65th minute, the Foresters failed to clear a ball which resulted in a mad scramble in the box.  Spring Arbor's Fracesco Paese took advantage and put it in the back of the net as the eventual game-winner.

“I was pleased with our organization and team defense," said Coach Lawson. "We generated enough quality scoring chances to come away with a win, but were not able to finish inside the box.”

HU keeper Kevin Keske recorded nine saves in the match while SAU's keeper, Kevin Bruinsma had seven.

The loss drops the Foresters to 4-3 on the season and 0-1 in the MCC.
